Earleen Maureen Machtolff, age 89, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away February 4, 2014 at Colonial Estates Nursing Home in Guthrie.
She was born November 17, 1924 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Earl and Floy (Moorehead) Cobble.
She married George Machtolff on September 25, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee. He preceded her in death in 1995. She had lived in Guthrie for 61 years and previously lived in Oklahoma City.
Earleen was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. In 1958 when George and Earleen purchased their first nursing home, Earleen attended nursing school and received her L.P.N and worked side by side with her husband. She was also Vice-President of GHM Enterprises. She was proud of her family and always enjoyed a party.
Earleen is survived by her three children, Greg Machtolff and wife Marty of Guthrie, George Machtolff of Guthrie and Mary English of Checotah, OK. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Greg Machtolff, Wayne Machtolff, Shawn Machtolff and wife Kristen, Geoff Machtolff and wife Liza all of Guthrie, G.T. Machtolff and wife Teri of Bixby, Michael Lemon and husband Rob of Edmond, Michael English and wife Melinda of McAlester, Josheb English and wife Amanda, Javan English and Matthew English and wife Mattie all of Checotah. She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren.
Earleen was preceded in death by her husband George, daughter in law Helen Machtolff, son in law Robert English and sister Kathleen Bradley.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, February 10, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Murphy and Rev. Richard Beckman officiating. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
