Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Pasquale Pirraglia (65), of Jones OK, passed from this life on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at his home.

Tony was born on September 20, 1958, to Mario and Dorothy Pirraglia in New York. He was the only son in his family of four children. Their family was very close. Growing up, he enjoyed playing baseball, bowling, spending time with family and friends, running around with cousins, and learning to cook from his maternal grandmother, Grandma Rose. He graduated from John Glenn High School in 1976. He was quite adventurous during his teen and young adult years where he was always up for a fun time. He enjoyed working with his hands, and for a time was employed at JFK airport doing aircraft maintenance. He was also employed with Bridgestone, then was transferred to Oklahoma in 1979 where he began working at the Dayton Tire plant in Oklahoma City. Shortly after, at the age of 21, he proudly purchased his first house.

In the summer of 1981, Tony was back home in New York for a weekend visit. He went out with friends one evening, where he saw a beautiful girl named Mary walk in. They quickly fell in love and were engaged six days later. They were married in New York on January 23, 1982, then Mary joined him in Oklahoma where they started their life together in that little 900-square foot house he had purchased three years earlier. In the mid-1980s, Tony unwaveringly supported Mary through her diagnosis, battle, and victory over ovarian cancer. Then in September of 1989, he became a father with the adoption of their daughter, Rachel.

In 1999, Tony and Mary started a machine shop business, TCMS Inc., with good friends Steve and Chris Baker. He was always proud of his work, and everyone at TCMS is like family. The business still thrives today and will celebrate its 25th anniversary this month.

Tony enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, feeding people he cared about, doing outside projects in the yard, spending time at Lake Texoma, Kansas City trips, and cheering for OU and Chiefs football as well as Yankee baseball. Tony lived a very happy, fun, fulfilling life with his family until Mary's passing in January of 2022, nine days short of their 40th wedding anniversary. Her absence left an indescribable hole in his heart. His family always meant the world to him, but his three grandchildren truly became the highlight of his life at that point. They loved their grandpa very much.

Tony is survived by his daughter Rachel Rudek, her husband Tyler, and three grandchildren, Emalynn, Owen, and Dawson. He also leaves behind his sister Deana Potter and her two children, sister Desiree Lecakes, nephew Jimmy Vicatos and his wife Lexx, father-in-law Rick Riquelme, sister-in-law Dianne Emerson and her family, best friend Mark Priest, friend Terri, along with many other family, friends, his TCMS family, and business partners that had become dear friends.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. McCollom, Dr. Weitzel, Dr. Miller, and post-op nurses Katrina, Kait, Daniel, Isaac, Terri, and others for their compassion and fantastic care.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Community Church in Guthrie.
