Antonio "Tony Angel" Martinez, 72, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away August 24, 2011, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on July 4, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas to Antonio and Consuelo (Castillo) Martinez.

Tony was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He loved to sing and play music and traveled around the states with his band "Tony Angel." He was an active member of the Masons and Shriners.

Tony married Sara Mayabb on August 3, 1968 in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include his wife Sara Martinez of Guthrie; two children, son Antonio Martinez, Jr. of Shawnee and daughter Denise (Tim) Castiglia of Waco, TX; two grandchildren Summer and Shawna; one great grandchild Drake and numerous other family members in the Houston area. He is also survived by his ex-wife and the mother of his children Patricia Ramsey.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Seward Road Baptist Church, Guthrie with the Rev. Rex Haymaker officiating. Burial will follow at Seward Cemetery, Guthrie with Military Honors. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
