Belinda Ruth Wallace, age 66 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away January 21, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on February 20, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Harold and Evelyn (Brown) Colbert.

Belinda lived in Guthrie most of her life and was a member of the First National Baptist Church. She graduated from Guthrie High School in 1969. She attended Langston University where she received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. Belinda was employed as a clerk at Bituminous Insurance. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing card games and cooking.

Survivors include her parents Harold and Evelyn Colbert of Guthrie, 2 sons Anthony Wallace of Oklahoma City and Brian Wallace of Stillwater,  2 brothers Maurice Brown Golson of Oklahoma City and Jeffery Jones of Guthrie and 4 sisters, Shalene Hagens of Guthrie, Vanessa Jenkins of Oklahoma City, Harlena Edwards and husband Alfred T. of  Oklahoma City and Rochelle Jordon of Guthrie. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Belinda was preceded in death by her brother Anthony Jones.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery in Guthrie, Oklahoma with Rev. Hersey Hammons, Jr. officiating. There will be no viewing at anytime. Services are under direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
