Betty J. James, age 76, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away June 24, 2011 in Guthrie. She was born March 20, 1935, in Greenfield, Oklahoma, to Melvin Ely and Minnie Lee (Scott) West. Betty previously lived in Roseville, Calfornia and moved to Guthrie in October of 2010.

She is survived by one brother Joseph West of Poteau, OK and two sisters June Rose Tilley and husband Bob of Eufaula, OK and Patsy D. Morton of Guthrie, OK. She is also survived by three neices Robbie Hoppes of Yukon, OK, Marlena Porter of Piedmont, OK, Christy Womack of Guthrie, OK and three nephews James Ray Tilley of Piedmont, Richard Morton of Owasso, OK and Jeff Morton of Wellston, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack James and her parents.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.
