Billy Paul Thornton was born on August 19, 1965, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Bill M. and Edith A. (Wilson) Thornton. He passed away on September 25, 2026, in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Billy married Donna McDaniel and they were married for 42 years. He worked as a plumber for more than 45 years, including time with Action Plumbing and Guthrie Public Schools. Through decades of work, he became a familiar face to many in the Guthrie community.

Billy is survived by his wife, Donna; his children, Billy Thornton and wife Amanda, and Shayla Thornton; his grandchildren, Ian and Corbin; his siblings, Mark Thornton, David Thornton, and Amanda Thornton; and his step-siblings, Natalie Holland and Gail Thornton. He was preceded in death by his parents.
