Catherine "Cathy" Elaine Emery, 67, passed away on June 9, 2026, in Gainesville, Texas.

Cathy was born on November 29, 1958, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to Lindy Henderson and Deloris (Newland) Henderson. She spent most of her life in Guthrie and graduated from Guthrie High School in 1977.

Cathy was married to Virgil Clayton Rose for 18 years. She later married Donnie Emery in Stillwater, Oklahoma on February 13, 2015. Together they shared many happy years filled with love, laughter, and everyday moments that meant the most.

Cathy worked as a delivery driver for O'Reilly Auto Parts in Guthrie. She enjoyed staying busy and took pride in her work and the relationships she built along the way.

In her free time, Cathy enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, softball, and bowling. She loved being around people, sharing a laugh, and making memories with family and friends.

Those who knew Cathy will remember her for her friendly nature, sense of humor, and the way she could make others feel at ease. She valued time spent with the people she loved and found joy in life's simple pleasures.

Survivors include her husband Donnie Emery; stepdaughter Christy Emery and husband Shawn; brother Steven Henderson and wife Susan; sisters Donna Goodwin and husband John, Trish Beighle, and Jan Sumpter and husband Steven; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents; stepson Justin Emery; sisters Linda Stout and Gail Morrow; and brother Robert Henderson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel.
