Obituary

Damoth Jane Goforth, 86, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, passed away on April 11, 2026. She was born on November 29, 1939, in Livingston, Kentucky, to Andrew and Beatrice Mink.

Damoth spent her life caring for others, working as a certified nursing assistant. She had a servant's heart and found purpose in helping those in need.

She moved to Guthrie from Bethany, Oklahoma, 20 years ago. Before that, she lived in Ovid, Colorado for nearly 30 years, a place that held many memories close to her heart.

Damoth found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved cooking for her family, watching Oklahoma City Thunder basketball, sewing, and playing cards. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her family, especially during the holidays, and she had a special love for her dogs.

She is survived by her children: Deanna Cartmill; Harvey Mink and wife Wilma; Betty Collins and husband Dave; Anna Collins and husband Ronald; Frankie Goforth and wife Chris; Violet Ekman and husband John; and David Goforth and wife Maggie. She is also survived by her siblings, Maddie Jean and Johnny Mink and wife Patti; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Franklin Boone Goforth; her daughter, Susie Best; and two grandchildren.

Damoth will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.
