David Lowell Nelson, age 66 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away March 7, 2017 in Oklahoma City. He was born on April 28, 1950 in Oklahoma City to Paul and Odean (Faulkner) Nelson.

David was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He married Linda Mae Stone on March 20, 1970 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Guthrie. She preceded him in death on January 19, 2013. He was a member of the N.R.A. and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include his brother Rick Nelson and wife Carroline and family of Midwest City and mother and father in law Melvin and Mary Stone and families.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roger Velasquaz officiating. Burial will follow at Cashion Cemetery in Cashion, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
