Deral Rowayne Nelson, age 84 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away December 4, 2019 in Oklahoma City. He was born on June 25, 1935 in Crescent, Oklahoma to Bryan and Helen (Roten) Nelson.

Deral worked in the oilfields and some sales positions before he opened up a restaurant and furniture store in Stillwater. He then relocated to Guthrie to join his brothers at Locator's Oil and Gas. Deral married Sue Little and to this union Tia and Kevin were born. He later married Sheri Chennault. Deral enjoyed flying and owned several planes, occasionally going to the casino, and having fun.

Deral is survived by his daughter Tia James and husband Joseph of Yukon, son Kevin Nelson of Crescent, sister-in-law and business partner Doris Nelson of Guthrie, brother Marion Nelson and wife Eileen of Stillwater, brother Eules Nelson of Stillwater,  and four grandchildren. Deral was preceded in death by his parents Bryan and Helen Nelson, wife Sheri (Chennault) Nelson, and his children's mother Sue (Little) Nelson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Merle, Gerald, and Kenneth Nelson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark LeMarr officiating. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7 from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and Sunday, December 8 from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
