Dexter Lee Thompson, 73, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, passed away on October 14, 2026. He was born on February 16, 1953, in Helen, Georgia, to Johnny L. Thompson and Joann (Anderson) Thompson.

Dexter had called Guthrie home for the past 22 years after moving from Arkansas. On December 12, 2012, he married Christie Harmon. Together, they shared nearly 14 years of companionship, love, and everyday moments.

Dexter was a member of First Gospel Fellowship of Guthrie. He loved racing fast cars and motorcycles and enjoyed the excitement of a trip to the casino. His beloved dog also held a special place in his heart, bringing him the simple comfort and happiness of a faithful companion.

He is survived by his loving wife, Christie; his children, Amanda Thompson and James Thompson; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Thompson.

Dexter's presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will be held with love.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
