Emily Lorraine Grindle, age 26, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, passed away June 13, 2012, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on October 16, 1985, in Edmond, Oklahoma to Jerry and Judy (Crooks) Grindle.

Emily had lived in Guthrie all of her life and was a member of Community Church. She graduated from Guthrie High School in 2004 and was a class Salutatorian and was also a graduate of Rose State College. Emily loved playing with her niece, was an avid reader and loved to learn and liked to do puzzles. She also loved her boxer Caesar.

She is survived by her parents Jerry and Judy Grindle of Guthrie, brother Brian Grindle and his wife Becky, sister Katie Grindle and Michelle, Tyler and Madison. She is also survived by Grandparents Dean and Betty Crooks, Aunts and Uncles Lorraine and Ronnie Ashpaugh, Bonnie Vandeveer, Paul and Carol Creed and Danny Grindle and numerous other friends and family.

Emily was preceded in death by her grandparents Rosie Wright and Duane and Peggy Grindle, Great Grandparents William and Maudie Crooks and Uncle Lonnie Vandeveer.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, June 18, 2012, at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Van Hudson officiating, burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 12:00 until 8:00 p.m.
