Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Frances Christine Ferris, age 98, of Guthrie, Oklahoma at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at
St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

A Prayer Service and Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

Frances was born on January 15, 1917 in Meridian, Oklahoma to Marian Claydeen and Louisa (Clay) McCorkle. She married William James Ferris on July 5, 1936 in Guthrie. Frances was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was very active in Catholic Daughters. She volunteered at the hospital for many years. Frances raised her first five grandchildren as her own.

Survivors include her son Larry Edward Ferris and wife Shirley of Blanchard, son in law Gene Tripp of Oklahoma City and 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill in 1987, daughter Billye Marie Tripp, son James Allen Ferris, 13 brothers and sisters, grandson James Allen Ferris, granddaughter Tracy Lynn Hastings and great grandson Corey Joe Smith.
