Hollis Ray Scott, Sr. age 70 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away December 8, 2017. He was born on August 19, 1947 in Houston, Texas to J.L. and Billie (Drawhorne) Scott.

Hollis previously lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and had lived in Guthrie the past year. He was a veteran in the United States Marine Corps serving 3 tours in Vietnam. Hollis was self employed and owned H. and S. Steel Inspection. He married Lynnett Jean Murray on August 12, 1977, she preceded him in death on October 18, 2016. Hollis enjoyed fishing, watching sports, playing golf and especially loved hunting.

Survivors include his 6 children, Hollis Scott, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO, Jon C. Ries (Sarah) of California, Donna Gambill (Vernon) of Guthrie, Shannon M. Ries of Oklahoma City, Debra Scott and Desiree Scott both of California, his brother James L. Scott and his sister Mary Jolly (Bobby) both of Splendora, TX. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Hollis was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lynnett Scott and sister Myra Lynn Nowak.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on January 6, 2018 at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Gene Owen officiating. Service are under direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
