James Michael Canfield, age 30 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on April 26, 2022, in Guthrie. James was born on July 18, 1991, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Timothy and Patricia (McVay) Canfield.

James lived in Guthrie his whole life. He was a devout member of St. Mary Church. He loved hiking and taking walks, reading, making sure others were always playing board games and card games, but most of all he loved being an uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was the best "full-time uncle."

Survivors include his parents Tim and Patty Canfield of Guthrie, sister Michelle Canfield and partner Marcus Hedge of Guthrie, brother Derrick Canfield and wife Alisha of Guthrie, and sister Alicia Fleury and husband Dan of Guthrie. James is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Cylie, Marcus, Kyan, Roselynn, Zoey, John, Oden, Amelia, Oliver, and Chet.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 3:00 PM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. James Wickersham officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. A rosary will be held prior to the memorial service at 2:00 P.M.
