Obituary

Jerry Arthur Holman, 87, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, passed away on April 10, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Jerry was born on August 16, 1938, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Fred and Geraldine (Cravatt) Holman. He grew up with a strong sense of duty, curiosity, and quiet determination that would shape the course of his life.

He attended Oklahoma State University, where he studied engineering, and carried that same dedication into his service as a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Following his time in the military, Jerry continued his commitment to serving others through his work as a warrant officer with the Midwest City Police Department, where he spent his career protecting and supporting his community.

Beyond his professional life, Jerry found joy in the simple and meaningful moments. He loved being outdoors, taking walks, and spending time in nature. He was also a devoted fan of Oklahoma State University sports, always cheering on the Cowboys with pride. In addition to his many roles, Jerry was a skilled carpenter, finding satisfaction in working with his hands and creating something lasting.

Jerry will be remembered for his steady presence, his dedication to service, and the quiet way he showed care for the people and world around him. His life was one of purpose, humility, and strength, and he leaves behind a legacy of integrity and commitment that will not be forgotten.

Survivors include his daughters Lindsay McDonald and Lainie Holman, sister Lynne Beery, grandchildren: Wilson, Kellie, Destin, Emma and Samuel; and two great grandchildren: Ivy and Cerise.
