Joan Louisanne Putman, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on November 19, 2023, in Guthrie at the age of 87. She was born on May 4, 1936, in Champagne, Illinois to Perry Eugene and Helen Catherine (Nelsen) Willits.

Joan lived in Guthrie the past 25 years. She attended the Lutheran and First Christian Churches. Joan enjoyed training dogs and loved the beach.

Survivors include her daughter Debra Williams, son Greg E. Surniak and wife Sallie, brother David Willits and wife Susan and sister-in-law Cheryl Willits. Joan is also survived by her grandchildren, Dylan Williams, Kristy Williams, Nelou Zikas, Michael Surniak,  Kathrine Suriak and Reza Zeinalpour. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bradley Willits.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
