JoAnn O'Neal, 82 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on May 12, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on June 5, 1939, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Arthur Lee Fagan and Willie Ann Huff (Palmatree).

JoAnn married James O'Neal on September 29, 1956, at the Assembly of God Church in Guthrie. She had been employed as a department manager at Walmart, hairdresser, realtor and cook for the Guthrie Public Schools. She enjoyed being a mom, quilting, sewing, going to farm sales and auctions and baking cookies for everyone including the Guthrie Fire Department and Guthrie Police Department. JoAnn was involved with home extension and volunteered for the election board and hospice.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, James O'Neal of the home, daughter Kathy Bertwell and husband Gene of Guthrie, son Jimmy O'Neal of Guthrie, daughter Lori Vernon and husband Jeff of Tulsa; siblings Terry Adams of Midland, TX, Jean Owen of Rogers, TX and Martha Johnson of Guthrie. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mike, Suzanne, Jamie, Ashley, Sarah, Valorie and Rachel; great grandchildren, Brayden, Payton, Tanner, Maddie, Marley, Hunter, Hudson, Bryce, Boston, Malachi, Jase, Colton and Rowdy. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, John Tom Fagan, Bobby Fagan and Ruth Miller.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at Community Church (512 E. Seward Rd., Guthrie, OK) with Pastor Bill Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Hayes Funeral Home.
