Joel Everett Maynard, age 66, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away at his home on August 19, 2015. He was born on September 26, 1948 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Millard C. and Betty Jean (Johnson) Maynard.

Joel married Nancy Robison on March, 16, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He had lived in Guthrie for 12 years and previously lived in Moore, Oklahoma. Joel retired from Nestle-Purina. He was a rock hound and enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his wife Nancy of the home, his 4 children, Greg Maynard, Tracy Cabelero of North Carolina, Quinn Maynard of Guthrie, Sheri Maynard of Edmond, sister Peggy Ryan and husband Richard of Las Vegas, brother Scott Maynard of Yukon and sister Debbie Ledford of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Joel was preceded in death by his parents.
