John Edgar Alfred (Johnny) Goodman, age 77, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma after a long illness. John was born in Richmond, California to Norman Goodman and Eveline Cyr Goodman on May 17, 1944.

John was the first born among 12 siblings. Living in Richmond in the early years of his life, the family then moved to Milpitas California, and after high school, John went to work at his uncle's tire shop, then Lockheed Space, and finished his career at Ford Motor Assembly Company which he loved. He was an avid union representative for the autoworkers, as well. He was also a firefighter and EMT while living in West point, California.

John was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister Linda, brother Allen, and son Timothy. John is survived by his loving wife, Penny Gunn Goodman of Guthrie, son Jeff Goodman (Beth), his granddaughters and great grandchildren, daughters, Leah Goodman and family, Michelle and family. Also survived by siblings Julie Goodman, Edward Goodman (Joan), Chris Goodman, Cindy Bernal, Elizabeth Amerson (Terry), Larry Goodman (Rhonda), Bridget Roman, Abigail Goodman, Anna Goodman-Brough (Joe) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Johnny will be sadly missed by his family, as he was a happy camper, boating on the Delta, loved his fast cars, especially his '57 Chevy Bel Air hardtop, and loved fishing and hunting. He was a solid rock to his family, offering help when needed and mentoring his younger family members.

There will be a Celebration of Life in California during the coming summer as no services will be scheduled. Donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation in his name to honor John's legacy.
