Katie Lynn Grindle was born on December 13, 1982 in Edmond, Oklahoma to Jerry and Judy (Crooks) Grindle. She passed away on December 4, 2020 in Edmond.

Katie lived in Guthrie all of her life and was a lifelong Bluejay. She attended Guthrie High School and graduated in 2001. She attended Noble Avenue Baptist Church. She was a server at Gage's Steakhouse and was very active helping with the VFW Bingo every Tuesday night.

Survivors include her mother Judy Grindle, daughter Madison Grindle, stepson Tyler Heard, stepdaughter Michelle Heard, brother Brian Grindle, and the father of her child John Heard. Katie was preceded in death by her father Jerry Grindle, sister Emily Grindle, and her grandparents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Brian Frank officiating. The casket will not be opened after the service. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020 from 12:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
