Larry Raymond Daffron, age 68, of Guthrie, Oklahoma peacefully passed away May 7, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 15, 1955, in Torrance, California to Raymond L. and Margaret L. (Bird) Daffron.

Larry graduated from Narbonne High School in 1972. He married his childhood sweetheart, Terri Murphey on October 20, 1973, in Torrance, California. Terri had just moved to California from Colorado when she met Larry at church. She saw Larry sitting with one of her family friends and the friend asked Larry, "Do you think she's cute? Do you want to date her?" Larry said yes and the rest is history from there. Larry and Terri were just short of celebrating their 50th anniversary.

Larry was self-employed as a hearing instrument specialist and retired in 2006. Larry and Terri moved to Guthrie from California in June of 2021. Moving to Guthrie was a fresh beginning for Larry and his family after battling health complications for many years. Larry loved nature and being outside. His favorite hobbies included feeding and watching his birds, driving around his land on his tractor and Polaris, fishing, and playing golf. He was even able to take Terri on a date to the movies and dinner for the first time in over 25 years after moving to Guthrie.

Survivors include his wife Terri of the home in Guthrie, son Josh Daffron and wife Heather of Guthrie, daughter Shannon McKiernan and husband Tommy of Modesto, California, sister Gloria Jordan of Iowa and sister Linda Schwass and husband Tommy of Lake Isabella, California. Larry is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, and his best friend - his dog, Sassi.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Summit View Cemetery.
