Obituary

Linda Carol Brownfield, 82, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on January 28, 2025, in Enid, Oklahoma. Linda was born on September 13, 1942, in Stockton, California.

On May 23, 1964, Linda married Everett Ancle Brownfield. Linda and Everett moved to Guthrie in 1972 and made it their home, where they raised their family. They spent 47 loving years together until Everett's passing in 2011.

Linda had a creative spirit, finding joy in the little things. She was an avid seamstress, pouring love into every stitch of her handmade quilts and clothing. She found relaxation in sewing and coloring books, delighting in the vibrant hues that mirrored her bright personality. A talented baker, she was especially known for her famous banana pudding -- a favorite among family and friends, bringing everyone together around the table. However, nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure.

Survivors include her children: Billy Weeks and wife Barbara of Guthrie, Tim Weeks of Edmond, Everett Weeks of Nampa, Idaho, Henry Weeks of Washington, Gene Brownfield and wife Katy of Mustang, Terry Brownfield of Guthrie, Donna Christian of Casper, Wyoming; siblings Donna Reynolds of Noble and Glen Harmoning of Ohio; brothers/sisters-in-law: Geneva Taylor of Paris, Texas, Cleta Brownfield of Paris, Texas, Punchie Brownfield and wife Debbie of Sawyer; 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Everett, her parents Lillian Walter and Therman Harmoning, son Bobby Brownfield and wife Valerie, daughter Margaret Hagwood and husband Dave, son Richard Brownfield, brother Marvin Harmoning, brother-in-law Paul Reynolds, brother-in-law Cecil Brownfield and wife Betty, brother-in-law Bill Taylor, brother-in-law Floyd Brownfield, and brother-in-law Coy Brownfield and wife Betty.
