Liona May Simpson. age 48, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Oklahoma City. She was born on January 24, 1967, in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Ralph and Karolyn (Warren) Dabbs.

Liona lived in Oklahoma City for the past 10 years and previously lived in Guthrie. She married Byron Simpson on June 10, 2013 at Lake Arcadia, Edmond. Liona was formerly employed as an accountant and she attended Life Church. She enjoyed taking care of her grandkids, crochet and fishing.

Survivors include her husband Byron of the home, her 4 children, Darrin Bauer, Sheena Bauer, Kenneth Bauer and Holly Browneagle all of Oklahoma City; 2 step children Byron Simpson of Oklahoma City and Joshua Simpson on Denton, TX; sister Carolyn Sue Apple and husband David of Guthrie, 2 brothers Ralph E. Dabbs and wife Darla of Perkins and Joe Graham and wife Alisha of Edmond. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren. Liona was preceded in death by her parents and brother Franklin Eugene Dabbs.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 24, 2015 at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Services are under the direction on Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at Hayes Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
