Margie Leona Heird, age 87, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away June 11, 2013 at her home in Guthrie. She was born on June 22, 1925 in Columbia, Oklahoma, to Luther G. and Minnie M. (Powers) Adams.

Margie lived in Logan County her entire life. She married Jessie Heird, on October 4, 1943 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. She was a former member of the Church of God. Margie loved taking care of her family and enjoyed bowling, travel and cooking.

Survivors include her six children, Harold Heird and wife Mary of Branson, MO; Edward "Ed" Heird and wife Pat of Walla Walla, WA; Larry Heird of Las Vegas, NV; David Heird and wife Cathy of Kingman, AZ; Wanda Poplin of Guthrie and Carolyn Poplin and husband Billy of Guthrie. She is also survived by her brother Luther Adams of Kingfisher; two sisters Willena Miller of Yukon and Lucy Seaton of Cashion; Sister in law Opal Adams of Cashion; brother in law George Robinson of Guthrie; brother and sister in law Robert and Toni Rogers of Security, CO; 15 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Margie was preceded in death by her husband Jessie on October 9, 1981; her daughter Barbara; 2 grandchildren; 2 brothers and a sister.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Oakland Knowles Cemetery in Crescent with Rev. Billy Heltcel of the Church of God of Prophecy officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
