Marian Aimiko Shimotsukasa, age 66, passed away on July 19, 2016 in Edmond, OK.

Marian was born in San Fernando, CA to Michiru and Colleen (Carpenter) Shimotsukasa on February 23, 1950. She graduated from Joplin High School in Joplin, MO. She lived in Guthrie for 35 years and attended Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Langston. Marian had worked at Willow Creek Nursing Home in Guthrie. She loved taking care of people and gardening.

Marian is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her children Tony Williams and wife Tina of Tulsa, OK, Lyni Patrum of Joplin, MO, and Christal Garcia of Guthrie, OK; her sisters Sherry Thompson and husband Terry of Joplin, MO, Kathie Tillinghast of Lake Havasu, AZ, and Marlene Mihalek, also of Lake Havasu, AZ; one brother Mike Shimotsukasa of Chatsworth, CA; grandchildren Candice Hawk, Maria Reyes, Stephanie Williams, David Riker, Issac Williams, and Emily Davis; and great grandchildren Carlie Hawk and Issac Reyes.

Memorial services will be Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church (423 W. Washington, Langston, OK 73050) with Pastor Greg McCarroll officiating.
