Marianne T. Moad, age 89, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away Monday, October 13, 2014 at OU Medical Center in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was born on May 19, 1925 in Sessenbach, Germany.

Marianne married Robert L. Moad in Landsburg, Germany. She had lived in Guthrie since 1948 and retired from Lucent Technology in 1986. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and Lucent Thunderbirds. Marianne loved working on the farm and in the garden, and she was a great cook.

Survivors include her son James Moad of Edmond, daughter Ingrid Willmerth and husband Tony of Guthrie and daughter Jeannette Nealy of Yukon, 3 sisters Ingie, Segrad and Christy all of Germany, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert in 1999 and 2 brothers.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 17, 2014 at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
