Marilyn Joyce Darden, age 84 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on July 9, 2020 in Guthrie. Marilyn was born on December 9, 1935 in Guthrie to Firman and Harriet Eleanor (Ward) Upham.

Marilyn lived in Guthrie most of her life. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the American Legion Auxiliary. Marilyn loved reading books, crocheting, sewing, puzzles and her adult coloring books.

Survivors include daughter Delane Wells and husband Bryan of Bethany, son Dwayne Wilson of Guthrie; sisters Shirley Dove of California, Leslie Huffer and husband Bruce of Wisconsin, Harriet Matthews of Phoenix, Arizona, Kathy Flourney and husband Russell of Breckenridge, Texas, and Jennifer Barnett and husband Alan of California; grandchildren Crystal Grilley and husband Michael of Oklahoma City, Jennifer Jordan of Mustang, Lisa Jordan of Oklahoma City, Shawn Wilson of Oklahoma City, and Shannon Wilson of Mustang. Marilyn is also survived by numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Melvin Wilson, second husband James Darden, parents Firman and Harriet Eleanor Upham, sister Zola Clover and sister Karen Cargile.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Martin, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 12:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
