Mark Ross
Manderscheid
Jun 19, 1961 — Mar 25, 2025
Mark Ross Manderscheid, 63, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on March 25, 2025. Born in Brewster, Washington, on June 19, 1961, Mark was the son of Chester Manderscheid and Evelyn Delores (Whealy) Manderscheid. He served his country with honor and dedication in the United States Army for over 21 years, working as an X-ray technician and caring for his fellow soldiers with quiet precision and deep compassion.
After retiring from the military, Mark made Guthrie his home, where he lived for the past 30 years. Known for his reserved and thoughtful nature, Mark was a man who didn't seek the spotlight but was deeply loved by those fortunate enough to know him. He was a loyal husband, a proud father and grandfather, and a quiet presence whose impact will be felt for years to come.
Mark's passions reflected his hands-on spirit and deep curiosity. He loved motorcycles and cars, found peace in woodworking, and enjoyed tinkering and collecting coins. But nothing brought him greater joy than his grandchildren, who lovingly called him K-Pie, a name that stuck as tightly as the bond they shared. They were the stars of his eyes and the true light of his life.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Lula Manderscheid, of the home; his two sons, August Brown and wife Shelby and Zack Brown and girlfriend Vanessa; four grandchildren: Autumn Brown, Kayden Mayor, June Brown, and Gemma Brown; his sisters, Cheryl Lowder and Cathy Sprague and husband Victor; his niece, Abby Lowder; and his treasured fur babies, Cocoa and Jack.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Evelyn Manderscheid and his brother-in-law Brent Lowder.
Mark's legacy is one of quiet courage, deep love, and unwavering loyalty. He will be remembered for the way he showed up steadily, humbly, and wholeheartedly for his family. His memory will live on in every story told, every tool tinkered with, and every grandchild who still calls him K-Pie.
A memorial service will be held to honor Mark's life and legacy at a later date.
