Mary Rosena "Rosie" Washko, age 72, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away February 9, 2013, at her home in Guthrie. She was born on July 9, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to John Elmer and Elma Rosena (Weigl) Davis.

She attended Tulsa Community College. Rosie married Richard Washko on February 11, 1960 in Edmond, Oklahoma. She retired as an office manager for Helmrich and Payne in 1995.

Rosie moved to Guthrie in 1995 from Sapulpa. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, Garden Club, Cedar Valley Womens Golf Assoc. and Iorn Mound. Rosie enjoyed playing golf.

She is survived by her Husband Richard "Dick" Washko of the home in Guthrie, Son Charles Jeffery Washko of Ponca City, Daughter Cindy Sloan and husband Larre of Tulsa, sister Mildred Burrows and husband Jimmy of Deer Creek and brother J.E. Davis of Deer Creek. Rosie is also survived by three grandchildren, Ali Cook and husband Matthew, Michael Sloan and Emily Sloan all of Tulsa. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guthrie.

Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Wood officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
