Robert Neal Sanders, beloved father, husband, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025. He was surrounded by the love of his family. He was 75 years old.

Robert was born on November 2, 1949, in Guthrie, Oklahoma. A kind, gentle, and endlessly patient soul, Robert touched countless lives with his humor, wisdom, and unwavering love. He was a man of integrity who always put others before himself. He was quick to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or crack a joke to lighten the mood. He fought and wrestled until the very end, just like the wrestling he and his son loved watching together on TV.

He was the rock of his family. Steadfast through every storm, supportive through every struggle. Whether it was making lunch for his son, watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with his daughter, or just being there when someone needed a shoulder to lean on, Robert showed up. That's the kind of man he was.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Sanders; his son, Rob Sanders; his cherished daughter, Serenity Sanders; his sister, Shirley Johnson; his nieces and nephews; and many others who were lucky enough to call him family or friend. He was preceded in death by his father Neal Sanders, his mother Lula Sanders, sisters Lilah Sanders, Imogene Cook, Ruth Sanders-Biggs, and brothers Leroy 'Buck' Sanders and John Sanders.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 1:00-5:00 P.M. at Hayes Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. at Olivet Cemetery (15100 S Sangre Rd, Perkins, OK 74059) with Pastor Mike Gatlin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Robert's memory by simply being kind to one another, just as he always was.

He will be missed deeply, but his love lives on in all of us.
