Robert "Bob" Wayne Turman, 78, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, in Oklahoma City.

Bob was born on September 4, 1947, in Edmond, Oklahoma, to Kirtley and Eulalie (Eldredge) Turman. On March 5, 1974, he married Lori Hamper in Yukon, Oklahoma, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, devotion, and quiet strength. Together, they made their home in Guthrie, where they created a life centered around family.

Bob dedicated many years of service to the City of Edmond, retiring in 1996 as Superintendent of Water Maintenance. He found joy in the simple, meaningful moments, working with his hands in his woodworking projects, cheering on his beloved OU Sooners, and sitting in his porch swing, taking in the world around him. More than anything, Bob cherished his family. They were his greatest pride, his steady joy, and the heart of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lori; his children, Kristopher Turman, Anthony Turman, and Bobbie Harbin and husband Jason; along with 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren who will continue to carry his love forward.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Chad Pickens officiating.

Bob's life was one of quiet kindness, steady love, and unwavering devotion. He will be deeply missed and forever held close in the hearts of those who loved him.
