Roberta Jean Isley, age 85 of Guthrie, Oklahoma was born on March 13, 1935 in Greenfield, Oklahoma to Avery and Sara Mae (Ball) Brower. She passed away September 19, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Growing up, Roberta lived in a sod house across from an Indian reservation. On October 12, 1958 Roberta married Keith Isley in Las Vegas, Nevada. She retired from Guthrie Public Schools where she worked as a cafeteria cook. She attended church at Trinity Episcopal in Guthrie. Roberta enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, and crafts.

Survivors include daughter Karen Apala of Guthrie, daughter Lynn Wall and husband Derek of Yukon, brother Gary Brower and wife Karon of Guthrie, brother Bret Brower and wife Pamela of Bedford, Indiana, sister Shelia Brower of Watonga, and four grandchildren: Jeanette Apala, Jeremie Apala and wife Amber, Micah Wall, and Carson Wall. Roberta is also survived by four great grandchildren: Jacob, Riley, Addilynn, and Avery. Roberta was preceded in death by her husband Keith on December 6, 2001 and parents Avery and Sara Mae Brower.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Inurnment will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
