Ronald "Rod" Wayne Bridenstine, born on April 19, 1932, in Liberal, Kansas, passed away on October 6, 2024, in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He moved to Guthrie in 2018 from Norman, Oklahoma. Rod was married to Joyce McNeely in 1954, and they shared 57 wonderful years together before her passing in 2011.

Rod worked as a truck driver and later retired from the University of Oklahoma, where he enjoyed driving a bus and interacting with the students. He loved country music, driving, and doing yard work.

He is survived by his son Mike Bridenstine and his wife Rita of Guthrie, Oklahoma; his daughter Cheryl Perot and her husband Phillip of Norman, Oklahoma; grandchildren Kevin Perot of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Patrick Perot of Norman, Oklahoma; and great-grandchild Katie Perot of Norman, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rod was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joyce and eight siblings. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
