Rose Elvira Self, age 67 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away August 22, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Rose was born on February 19, 1950 in Poteet, Texas to Thomas and Lupe (Reyes) Perez.

Rose married Charles "Charlie" Self on February 19, 1966 in Buckeye, Arizona. They had lived in Guthrie since 1998. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and loved her family. Rose had been employed at several of the nursing homes in town.

Survivors include her husband Charlie of the home in Guthrie, her 4 children, Charlie Self, Jr. of Goodyear, AZ, Jason Self, Chris Self and Misty Self all of Guthrie and brother Tom Perez and wife Rejina. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren with 2 on the way and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, 1 sister, 4 children and 1 grandchild Adam.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. Additional services will be held in Buckeye, Arizona at a later date.
