Obituary

Russell Hall Jr., 74, of Mulhall, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on May 4, 2025. A proud Oklahoman born in Midwest City, Russell was a dedicated family man, a loyal Sooners fan, and a true outdoorsman who found joy in the simple things—deer hunting, fishing, and cheering on OU football and softball.

In his younger years, Russell was a talented athlete, excelling in both football and baseball. If you knew him, you likely never saw him without his signature OU shirt and a story about his sons or grandkids—his greatest pride. He spent many years working as an engineer for Hanco, bringing a sharp mind and steady hand to every project. He was also a proud member of the National Rifle Association.

Above all, Russell's most cherished role was that of dad and grandpa. He is survived by his children: Bryan Hall and wife Suzanne, and Brad Hall and wife Shotzie; grandchildren: Maddux, Braxton, Rylee, and Hudson; and siblings: Steve Hall and wife Regina, Cathy Berkman and husband Rick, Connie McCoy and husband Rick, and Debbie LeGrade. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and a close-knit circle of extended family who will remember his quiet strength and unwavering love.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Hall Sr. and Helen Marie Hall.

Russell died as he lived—peacefully, humbly, and at home. His legacy is one of grit, devotion to the Sooners, and the steady, faithful love of a father and grandfather.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Vassar Church (19818 W. 56th St., Mulhall, OK 73063).
