Ruth A. Edwards, age 86, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away February 11, 2015 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie. She was born on November 28, 1928 in Ralston, Oklahoma to George A. and Memory A. (Montgomery) Price.

Ruth attended high school in Ralston, Oklahoma. She married Billy Thomas Edwards on June 2, 1969 in Gainesville, Texas. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1967 from Kansas and had lived in the Guthrie area since 1975. Ruth enjoyed working in the vegetable garden, fishing, family gatherings and traveling the U.S.A. by car. She attended Tulakes Baptist Church in Bethany.

Survivors include her sisters Betty Hibbert of Guthrie and Mary Lou Banks of Burlington, Iowa and sister-in-law Lola Price of Wellston. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy Edwards in 1999, sister Norma Price and brothers Jackie, Charles and Johnie Price.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Summit View Cemetery, with Deacon Karen Hansen officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be Miles Clutter, Eli Gipson, Joe Hickey, Micheal Price, John Tiller and Kolby Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
