Nova "Ruth" Metcalf, age 91, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away October 28, 2011 in Guthrie. She was born July 15, 1920 in Alyesworth, Oklahoma to Henry and Zelda (Renaker) Power.

Ruth married J.W. "Bill" Metcalf on September 30, 1954 in Guthrie. To this union one son was born Michael E. Metcalf.

Ruth worked for Gummerson Insurance for 33 years and retired form there in 2000 at the age of 79. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and had lived in Guthrie most of her life.

She was first a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Ruth is survived by her son Raymond "Kinky" Metcalf of Phoenix, AZ; son Michael Metcalf and wife Bobbi of Guthrie; Daughter-in-law Bobbie Metcalf of Guthrie; sister Shirley Buck of Guymon and brother Raymond Power of Abilene, KS. She is also survived by grandchildren Kathy, Rikki, Kenny, Jr., Tyler, Michal, Tempelle, Cody, Brooke, Zach and numerous great and great-great grandchildren; also nieces Sheridan Power, Susie Edburg, Charlotte Coover, Cindy Williams; and nephews Ted Power and Rob Buck.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Bill in January 1998, Son Kenneth Metcalf, Sr. in May 1986 and sister Willa Coover.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Sautrday, November 5, 20ll, in the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Demoss officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
