Shirley Jean Dye, age 92, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, peacefully entered her Heavenly home on June 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on October 9, 1933, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to Walter Lee Charvoz and Nellie Kate (Ridner) Charvoz.

A woman of deep faith, Shirley was a devoted member of Poplar & Warner Church of Christ. Her life was a beautiful reflection of kindness, humility, and unwavering love for her family. She found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and treasured memories. Her gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and generous heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose legacy will live on through the family she cherished so dearly.

She is survived by her children, Jerry and Barbara Dye, Jeannie and Donnie West, Danny and Robyn Dye, and J.L. Dye, Jr. and James; her siblings, Linda and Terry Fuller; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way, who will forever be a part of the legacy she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of many years, J.L. Dye, Sr., who passed away in 2020; her cherished daughter, Karen Stetler; and her parents, Walter Lee and Nellie Kat Charvoz.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026 from 12:00-7:00 PM at Hayes Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Charlie Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Crescent Cemetery (8472 N. May Ave. Crescent, OK 73028).
