Shirley Ann Hardin, age 79, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away August 10, 2014 at her home. She was born on November 18, 1934 in Topeka, Kansas to John and Edna (Backus) Dansy.

Shirley married Jimmie Ross Hardin on June 21, 1957 in Topeka, Kansas.
They had lived in Guthrie since 1971 and previously lived in Oklahoma City, England and the Philippines. Shirley worked as an Administrative Assistant for the State Office of Public Affairs and retired in 1998. She enjoyed dancing and water skiing and was a member of Garden Club and V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her four sons, Paul Hardin of Oklahoma City, David Hardin and wife Tracy of Oklahoma City, Barlo Hardin and wife Carol of North Little Rock, AR and Ben Hardin and wife Sharla of Edmond.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Cody, Barlo II, Mary Pat, Hayden, Jessica, Johnathon and Matthew and a special friend Sonny Brabender. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jimmie in 1996, brother and sister in law Richard and Evelyn Dansey.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Gene Owen officiating. Interment following at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery, Guthrie. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

A Rosary Service will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 PM.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
