Stephen Lynn Hamper was born on October 3, 1954, in St. Francis, Kansas, to Miles Hamper and Dorothy (Follett) Hamper. He passed away on January 16, 2026, in Guthrie at the age of 71.

Stephen graduated from Yukon High School and later worked for Sam's Club. About ten years ago, he moved from Tulsa to Guthrie, where he spent his later years.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy; his children; his siblings, Monte Miles Hamper, Lori Turman, Linda Kay Otter, and Toni Renee Conner; and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and two children.

Stephen lived a quiet life and, in his own way, touched the lives of those who knew him. He will be remembered for the moments he shared and the paths he crossed along the way.
