Steven P. Gregory, 64, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday,  November 16, 2024, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by family love. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Hayes Funeral Home (117 E. Noble Ave. Guthrie, Oklahoma, 73044). Inurnment will be at a later date.

Steve, as he preferred to be called, was born on September 15, 1960, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Clara and Henry Gregory.  Steve was a proud father and Army Veteran who served his country during the conflict in Grenada.

Throughout Steve's life, he had many interests and skill sets.  As a child, he loved spending time with Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. His very first job was delivering newspapers, and he worked in a sawmill as a teenager, later joining the Army. His duty stations included Ft. Knox, KY, Germany, and Ft. Riley, KS, to name a few. After Steve's time in the Army, he learned trades in plumbing, electrical and construction. However, Steve found his niche in the HVAC. He became a licensed HVAC installer and thoroughly enjoyed his time as a commercial HVAC installer, which he did until his retirement.

Steve was a free-spirited and adventurous individual.  He made many friends throughout his life, many of whom he kept up with. He loved fishing, classic cars and all things Harley Davidson.  Steve was a member of the VFW, American Legion, DAV, and the Harley Davidson Riders Association.

Steve is survived by children, Stephanie (Gary) DeWeese of Summer Shade, KY, Jeremiah (Rachel) Gregory of Eudora, KS, Emma Gregory of Minnesota; his sister Mary (Larry) Gregorio of Guthrie, OK, brother John (Chong) Gregory of Copperas Cove, TX; grandchildren  Dylan Bowles, Kristen Bowles, Sydney Bowles, Kaden Jackson, Autumn (Cordell) Allenbrand, Caleb Gregory, Brayden Gregory and Eli Gregory; great grandson Matthew Allenbrand; and nieces and nephews, Jessica (Tyler) Barnes, Jennifer Gregory, Patrick Gregory, Kimberly (Jeff) Redenius, Sarah (Brandon) Cizik, Matthew Brady and Douglas Gregory.

Steve was preceeded in death by his grandparents Herbert and Loretta McCubbins and Freeman and Lanore Gregory; his parents Clara and Henry Gregory and his sisters Deborah Kaye Gregory and Mildred (Moe) Stockwell.
