Terry Gene Oliver, 75, passed away on October 12, 2026, in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He was born on August 1, 1951, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, to Harley Bob Oliver and Marjorie Jane (Moore) Oliver.

Terry earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Oklahoma and went on to work in software development and computer sciences. Sixteen years ago, he moved from California to Guthrie, where he made his home.

A mechanic at heart, Terry had a lifelong curiosity about how things worked. He loved tinkering, taking things apart, and putting them back together. What others might have seen as something broken, Terry saw as something to figure out. That patient curiosity was a familiar and cherished part of who he was.

Terry had a soft spot for dogs and the companionship they offered. But the love he held for his grandson, Isaac Ray, was especially close to his heart. His family will remember that love alongside the everyday things that made Terry himself, the projects that kept his hands busy, and the satisfaction he found in making something work again.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Harley Bob Oliver; his mother, Majorie Jane Moore Oliver Doyle; his brother, William Harley Bob Oliver; and his nephew, Joshua Benton Oliver Modlin.

He leaves behind his son, Maximilian Harley Oliver and wife Ashley; his sister, Sandra Kay Oliver; and his beloved grandson, Isaac Ray Oliver. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and those who shared in his life.
