Obituary

Tony Clark Gattis, 71, passed away on April 16, 2026.

Tony was born on November 23, 1954, in Edmond, Oklahoma, to Robert D. and Anita (McCain) Gattis. He graduated from Edmond High School in 1974 and went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps, including service during the Vietnam era. During his time in the military, he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and a Rifle Sharpshooter Badge.

Tony spent much of his working life as a machine operator with the Fife Corporation. He was a hard worker who showed up, did the job, and did it well.

Tony was known for being a little rough around the edges and never one to sugarcoat anything. He told it like it was, had a sharp sense of humor, and loved giving people a hard time. If he liked you, you knew it and if he didn't, you probably knew that too.

He loved his friends, enjoyed chasing a good time, and was a loyal fan of the Oklahoma City Thunder. He had a creative side as well and was an artist in his own right.

Above all, Tony adored his dog, Roscoe, who was truly the light of his life.

Tony will be remembered for his grit, his humor, and the way he lived life unapologetically on his own terms.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Oak Park Cemetery (409 S. Price Ave., Chandler, OK 74834).
