Vina Lavon Egelston, age 84 or Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on November 14, 2022, in Guthrie. She was born on September 16, 1938, in Coyle, Oklahoma to Irvin W. and Mildred F. (McKenzie) Davidson.

Vina graduated from Guthrie High School in 1956. She married C.J. Egelston on May 27, 1956, in Guthrie. Vina worked for the State Insurance Department as an Actuary and retired from there in 1997. Vina enjoyed reading. She was a former member of the Noble Avenue Baptist Church and Red Hat Society.

Survivors include her two children, Debbie Murray and husband Steve of Edmond and Jeff Egelston and wife Kristi of Guthrie, her sister Hazel Hauser and husband Arlynn of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Amber Jones, Cody Murray and wife Natalie, Shylia Eales and husband Matt and Brooke Egelston and five great grandchildren, Evan Murray, Coleman Eales, Jack Murray, Tate Jones and Ellison Eales. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Vina was preceded in death by her parents Irvin and Mildred McKenzie, husband C.J. Egelston on March 24, 2020, brother Wiliam Davidson and sister Betty Evans.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland-Knowles Cemetery in Crescent. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
